A thought I picked up at the conference from Dan North’s talk:
“Fire – aim – ready”
Meaning take a first shot at doing something (fire) to understand what needs to be done (aim) and then ready it to launch. That’s agile thinking.
Looking at stars to road: taking a first shot of something is when the thing is on cloud. If the aim is here, it’s on tree and readying it brings it down on the road.
Obviously, the first shot on cloud may not necessarily be production code. It may be hack and slash code or other means of mocking up and prototyping things.
